What is surrealism?

Surrealism is a 20th-century literary and artistic movement that expressed the workings of the subconscious by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter.

You may be familiar with the work of principal surrealist artists Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, and Frida Kahlo.

Visit the below links and do your own search to become better acquainted with surrealism and see some examples of surreal art.
